Earthing Electrodes

3E Solutions provides  solutions on earthings in Jaipur for and all over Rajasthan. Chemical Earthing electrodes uses became popular since last few years due to inherent disadvantages of conventional ” Salt Charcoal ” type earthing. Not only Common salt corrodes the earthing material ( Rod or Plate ) rapidly, but also its lower liner length cause to worsen electrical performance. The Chemical earthing use mineral salts in certain proportion in  montmorillonite compounds whcich increase the life of earthing. For electrical performance our chemical earthing powder gives the best results and used all over Rajasthan for better results.

Earthing in Jaipur

3E Earthings have longer life, superior electrical values and requires least floor area for given application. We not only comply to the requirements of IS 3043, but also conform to Bristish Standard – BS: 7430: 2011. Certainly,  to reassure our customer of our commitment to continuous improvement and best quality, we have obtained  ISO,  9001:2015. It also shows our commitment to quality with in the given constraints of economy. We have also passed CPRI testing upto 33 kA for 1 second at CPRI laboratory in Banglore.

Types of Chemical Earthings

Generally, the  Chemical Earthing Electrodes have 2 components, a Conductor that interface with the earth and backfill compound that encapsulate the conductor. This backfill compound is a low resistivity materials that bond with conductor and mother soil. The fault currents find the path to mother earth through this conductor only. The electrical performance of chemical earthings mainly depends upon the backfill compound.

Mostly, chemical earthings are classified in two categories:

a. Pipe Type – Strip In Pipe and Pipe in Pipe : Here the shape of electrode is of pipe. The strip or pipe inside the pipe for enhancing fault current withstanding capacity, is called primary conductor. When primary conductor is GI or Copper strip, we call it, Strip in Pipe Chemical Earthings. Whereas, the primary conductor is GI or copper pipe, it is called  Pipe in Pipe earthings.  In most cases, the Pipe in Pipe earthings are superior due to higher fault current withstanding capacity. Most commonly used earthing under this heas is Heavy Duty 50×3 GI Earthing Electrodes.

b Copper Bonded Rods:   These are Mild steel rods of 14 or 17 mm outer dia with a copper coating of approx 250 micron, applied over it to increase its life in earth environment. However, due to low fault current density at its surface interfacing earth, it has higher temperature rise upon occurrence of the fault and hence less thermally stable. Most common earthing under this head is 250 Micron 17 mm dia copper bonded earthings.
